Something I have lost track of is hearing wonderful messages in regards to Christ Jesus. I remember first given my life to Christ I would listen to Greg Laurie, Tony Evans, David Jeremiah, Adrian Rogers, J.Vernon McGee and of course, Charles Stanley.
Out and about this early morning I listen to part of the message by Adrian Rogers and now I'm listening to David Jeremiah and it hit me how far I have drifted from Jesus because in order to know God's word you have to read it daily, be a doer of his Word and listen to messages by people of God.
One.place.com is a wonderful site to bookmark and I have bookmarked it again and just by that small task my heart and soul feels better already.
Right now I'm listening to the message "Is There Only One Gospel?" by David Jeremiah and it's a very on time word because we live in a time where when you say you are Christian it's a joke to the world. One thing as Followers of Christ have to let the world know is that first we are FAR from perfect but second we live by legalism or liberalism. I can't condemn a person because I am a fallen being myself through the fall of Adam but I can't condone certain actions or lifestyles because I don't live under man's law (noticed how some people say they love Christ and condemn but it's okay for the rules to be broken by themselves? That's how many (not all) Pharisees lived their lives).
That's how many on the Right live their lives now, "Do as I say but Not as I do" - that's legalism. Where on the other side(the Left) many that are in Church feel it's okay to live a certain way or feel "I believe in God but I don't believe in the Virgin birth" or "I believe in God but Christ really did rise on the third day, that's just a figure of speech". That's liberalism. If a person want's the true definition of how to be a Christian look know further that Jesus himself. From this day on instead of watching the news my days before heading to work will be filled with putting great messages back in my Spirit-Man as well as reading books and articles that feel my soul with not only joy but getting back to good, Godly common sense.
